It is a delicious snack for young and old that gives you the energy boost you need and is rich in all the nutrients that are essential for the body. The combination of nut butter and couverture is the perfect solution for those who can give up sugar but not sweets!
Step 1
Crush the cookies in a blender. Once crushed, add the nut butter of your choice and the melted butter and blend until all ingredients are completely mixed. Pour into a bowl and fold the mixture a little more to hold its shape. Place a sheet of parchment paper on a small baking sheet and spread your mixture on it. Place it in the fridge.
Step 2
Melt couverture and almond butter (or peanut butter) in a bain-marie. Spread the liquid mixture on the base and sprinkle the desired 3 tablespoons of nut butter. Use a knife to make different patterns (especially for the kids) on the surface.
Step 3
Put the bars in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours so that the mixture becomes firm! Then remove, cut into squares and store in the refrigerator. Your kids will love them, but you certainly won't be able to resist either!
